1985 was when this movie came out, and at the time I was too busy being a punk (literally) to watch it. It was not cool to go watch Breakfast Club, especially when you spent all day and night trying to get close to girls.
At 43 this is one of those movies that I watch now and completely relate to the significance of it, it’s longevity, it’s ability to have an enduring message.
This weekend I had the great pleasure to sit with my second daughter and watch Breakfast Club from beginning to end. It was great to see the message is not lost on this university generation.
If you get a minute, be a teenager again and watch all those sappy teenage movies. They will keep you young.
